Mint Chocolate Chip is a book about the choices we make in life. When we are children, our choices are mostly made for us. As we grow older, we slowly gain more and more control over the decision-making process and increasingly bear the consequences. Wise decisions result in blessings and benefits, foolish ones bring detriment and disaster. This book contains the triumphs and tragedies of my own life, laid bare to provide my children, and all who would explore and apply its principles, the benefit of a head start -- like starting a long distance race halfway to the finish line.

Unintended consequences is such a buzz word for today. But what I want to emphasize here is the power and possibilities of intended consequences—a life lived on purpose—choices made from the examples we’ve been given and the lessons we’ve learned. Victory begets victory and a legacy yields a destiny.
