Jesus with a Small Group

After sixty years of church life, Floyd Schwanz had a reoccurring idea that would not go away: Jesus gave his primary energy to the twelve, not the multitudes. So he devoted an entire summer to the careful study of Mark’s gospel and there it was on almost every page! What Jesus did with the twelve was not an academic exercise--it was an apprentice model! Jesus' discipling was training, not just telling. Relational small groups provide the Jesus design for believers to become Christ-followers. 

Each chapter reveals a 'Jesus method' that church and small group leaders can reproduce even in our culture and our twenty-first century. Any group that meets together “in the name of Jesus” can learn and love and counsel and serve and grow and multiply just like Jesus’ small group.
