Be Still

Being still is an art. If we can learn to master this skill we can better appreciate the free gift of life that has been given to all of us. Robert Paul Baeyens wrote this book to help the reader learn to make better decisions, have greater confidence and achieve happiness while at the same time taking that rare look inward, being honest with oneself and facing topics that are uncomfortable and then committing to taking a stance.



We all want to find answers to questions such as:

• Are we in control?

• Is there a God with an ultimate plan for us?

• Is there a choice to be made that affects us for eternity?

• Are there multiple paths to an eternal existence?



From the beginning man has been perplexed by the question as to whether or not God really exists. Many civilizations were built or destroyed over their beliefs in a higher power or lack thereof. And still nobody can prove or disprove whether He does or not. If this one simple question could be answered and proven either way, then mankind would certainly be significantly changed. Does one have to believe in God in order to be happy? Is there meaning to life without God at the center of all things? And, most importantly, should we be acting differently during our walk through life based on how we answer these questions?

Once we establish our belief then how do we live life to the fullest based on that belief? How can we maximize our happiness and at the same time walk morally, ethically and for the improvement of society and mankind? Whether or not one believes in God, it is undeniable that we should make that our common goal.

The intent of “Be Still” is to answer these and other questions in order to live life to the fullest and to be our best possible person for our own sake as well as the sake of others. It is more than a mystery in need of a solution; it is and should be every man and woman’s responsibility. To make no choice is to make a choice for complacency, as so many do. That is irresponsible to oneself and to society. The challenge is for every man and woman to stand up and make a choice and then to live life to its fullest based on that choice.



One thing is for certain --either there is a God--or there isn’t. Fair enough? Let’s start with that.



This book is for Christians that are seeking self improvement and who want to learn how to connect with God at a deeper level. It offers Non-Christians the opportunity to learn about the Christian faith and find peace through biblical based teachings. “Be Still” will allow the reader to connect with God on a deeper level as it reveals man’s nature, God’s nature and your free will to make choices. Most of all, “Be Still” will teach you that the only way to true happiness is to allow God to be God in your life.
