Sam Batterman
Sam Batterman may look like a software engineer and teacher with a degree in Computer Science from Bob Jones University, but don't be fooled! Sam is using his techno mind to write some gripping fiction with a “shockingly intelligent premise, bolstered by equally intelligent research,” (according to Conlan Brown, author of The Firstborn and The Overseer.)
Topping the Deep River Books list with yet another fascinating suspense/thriller recently released called Maximal Reserve, Batterman brings to life Bible prophecy (found in Genesis 49:25, and Deuteronomy 33:24) by building on the Scripture stating 'blessings from the deep,' and 'let him dip his foot in oil.'
The main character Phil Channing is a graduate student who wants to make his mark on the world. Joining an elite team at Access Energy, Channing finds the largest oil reserve known to mankind. But, when key players who have knowledge of this find end up getting murdered, Channing finds the list quickly dwindling down to him. It's a fight for his life, for protection of the reserve, and for world power, involving an alliance of crooked politicians and terrorists that will do anything to keep the find a secret!
The author of Wayback (VMI Publishers, 2009) and Maximal Reserve (Deep River Books, 2011), Sam is also working on Insurrection, a sequel to the Wayback novel, estimated to release in 2012.
